SUMMARY:VALOMAG Seminar - Magnet recycling
DESCRIPTION:EIT RawMaterials and the consortium partners of the VALOMAG project are delighted to invite you to the 2nd seminar of VALOMAG\, which will be held on Tuesday\, 15 November 2022 at the Senate room (Senaatszaal) of TU Delft in The Netherlands. This hybrid seminar can also be attended remotely.\n\nThe VALOMAG project proposes to supply a technical solution for permanent magnet disassembly of End-of-Life applications like hard discs\, electric vehicles and wind turbines. VALOMAG assesses two short-loop recycling technologies for high and medium-quality magnets with a third alternative route using hydrometallurgical processes for low-quality magnets. Mass-Flow analysis and LCA have been performed on the whole process chain\, and the supply chain resilience and criticality have also been assessed on the rare earth value chain for magnets. \n\nThis seminar will present a technical and market overview of magnet recycling in the EU and the main results of the Valomag project during the 1st session. \nThe  2nd session will be dedicated to current EU collaborative projects on rare earth magnets recycling\, with an open discussion with the participants. \n\nJoin the seminar to learn more about current EU initiatives for the recovery and recycling of permanent magnets.
