SUMMARY:EIT RawMaterials at PDAC 2018
DESCRIPTION:On 4-7 March\, EIT RawMaterials will join the annual convention of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC 2018) in Toronto. PDAC 2018 is one of the largest trade shows on exploration and mining in the world. This year\, EIT RawMaterials is attending and would like to use this opportunity to network with our partners and other relevant stakeholders\, raise the visibility of our Innovation Community and underline the relevance of the European raw materials industry. \nEIT RawMaterials will be present with a booth #6516N at the Trade Show.\nPresentation Day\nOn Tuesday\, 6 March\, EIT RawMaterials will co-host EU-Canada Exploration & Mining Presentation Day in partnership with the European Union in Room #202D. \nEIT RawMaterials afternoon session will showcase innovation\, technologies\, investments and current activities within exploration and mining in Europe. \nDr Karen Hanghøj\, CEO\, EIT RawMaterials will be opening the afternoon session and later deliver a presentation on ‘Mobilizing the European Raw Materials Sector’. EIT RawMaterials’ Senior Advisor for Exploration and Resource Assessment\, Dr Bo Møller Stensgaard together with the Senior Advisor for Mining\, Technologies and Sustainability\, Dr Tony Hand will present innovation Portfolio status on ‘Discoveries – and Beyond’ and ‘Intelligent Mining’. \nPresentations will include EIT RawMaterials Partners: DMT GmbH & Co. KG\, Terrafame Group Ltd.\, Centro Ricerche FIAT\, Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS)\, Geological Survey of Slovenia (GeoZS) and Geological Survey of Finland (GTK). Additionally\, EIT RawMaterials supported start-up\, SpaceEarth Srl. will showcase innovation in ‘Safety in Challenging Mining Environments’. \nThere are many more interesting speakers included in the program.
