SUMMARY:Green digital passport: Product traceability to create circular material loops
DESCRIPTION:GS1\, TCO Development\, EIT Circular Economy Community and ECESP invite you to the #EUCircularTalks on the green digital passport.\nThe linear way of producing and consuming products is ruining fragile ecosystems and causing the loss of valuable natural resources. The circular economy brings more sustainable solutions where products are in use longer and materials are reused to manufacture new products. \nTo keep products and their materials in a closed-loop and enable a circular economy\, we need to understand what materials are included in the product. Traceability of products and materials is complex\, and to succeed in implementing product passports stakeholders need to come together to find a pathway forward. \nUsing the case of IT products\, our speakers will explain the basics for traceability of materials in products as well as the material flow and information loops that are connected to it.\nJoin the conversation to share your views on what is needed to put a product passport in place to support the circular material loop and what data elements should be included in the product passport. \nRegistrations are open. \nDraft programme \n10:00 – 10:05 Welcome and opening remarks by moderator \n\nAndreas Nobell – TCO Development\n\n10:05 – 10:30 Policy perspective \n\nDumitru Fornea – Delegate of the Consultative Commission on Industrial Change (CCMI)\, European Economic and Social Committee\nIgnacio Calleja – EIT Community\nPaulo Da Silva Lemos – Policy Officer – Sustainable Products and Plastics\, DG Environment\nChristian D’Cunha – Data\, privacy and cybersecurity officer\, DG CONNECT\n\n10:30 – 10:35 Q&A \n10:35 – 11:15 Case presentation \n\nMartin Willers – CEO & co-founder\, Transparent\nTeresa Oberhauser – EU Project lead\, Circularise\nFrancesca Poggiali – Chief Public Officer Europe\, GS1\nNatalia Lopez – Social Sustainability manager\, Dustin\n\n11:15 – 11:25 Q&A session \n11:25 – 11:30 Closing remarks \n\nAnna Cavazzini – MEP
