SUMMARY:Circular Materials Conference Session will showcase Projects Supported by EIT RawMaterials
DESCRIPTION:Circular Materials Conference is a two-day event that will offer a forum for debate\, exchange\, face-to-face meetings and networking. The focus of the coference will be on challenge of transformation in a material world\, consumer trends and the circular economy. \nEIT RawMaterials is sponsoring a side session at the „Circular Materials Conference“ focused on reuse and remanufacturing of raw materials. \nWuppertal Institute\, EIT RawMaterials’ partner will showcase three projects supported by EIT RawMaterials: \n1. ReUK. Bridging the raw materials knowledge gap for reuse and remanufacturing professionals \nThe project ReUK will develop life-long education services tailor-made for the needs of the reuse- and remanufacturing sector in Europe in order to reduce the demand for raw materials in Europe. Education services will take the form of workshops that can be given online (webinar) or integrated into existing physical attendance-courses. Supported by the developed material\, professionals should learn: \n\nhow to identify opportunities for reuse and remanufacturing;\nhow to test if a product/groups of products can be reused or remanufactured\, from a design\, logistics and business perspective;\nhow to develop a reuse and/or remanufacturing business.\n\n2. RUN. Key success factors for ReUse Networks \nRUN project focuses on the development of entrepreneurial support services that are tailor-made for the needs of the reuse and remanufacturing sector. In this way\, it aims to contribute to a reduced demand for raw materials in Europe. More precisely\, the project identifies and address specific needs of reuse and remanufacturing community\, inter alia missing platforms to exchange experiences and relevant information on key success factors for reuse networks. Thereby and based on other ongoing activities of the consortium\, this project has the potential to establish a reuse network within the EIT RawMaterials. \n3. REMANPATH. Building Lifelong Education Through Finding Company Path to Remanufacturing \nThis project aims to develop\, pilot and hold educational courses for people who work in small and medium sized firms. The aim of the course is for people to identify their firm’s own competence development paths\, and devise innovative business models\, which involve the firm remanufacturing products into something new and valuable. It is intended to make the education attractive and relevant by enabling people and experts to interact and share experiences as well as using online tools and gamification. \nFor more information\, please visit the Circular Materials Conference website.
