SUMMARY:Assessment of undiscovered mineral resources – the MAP method: theory and examples
DESCRIPTION:Mineral Resource Assessment Platform (MAP)\, innovation project supported by EIT RawMaterials\, will produce an enhanced and upgraded method and software for the quantitative assessment of undiscovered mineral resources\, by integrating mineral prospectivity modelling and the three-part method. The testing phase of the software will produce valuable information on undiscovered resources in the Nordic countries and Germany\, and on the Arctic deep ocean floor. The MAP software will increase the productivity of its users and create new business possibilities for service providers. \nWe welcome you to a FREE one-day short course (lunch included) that will be arranged in Levi on 1 November 2019\, in connection with FEM 2019. The course gives an overview of methods used in the assessment of undiscovered mineral endowment\, including the three-part method\, play analysis\, and mineral potential mapping.
