The 5-day programme is designed to foster entrepreneurial thinking\, increase awareness regarding the circular economy opportunities and provide PhD students with skills and tools to translate technological ideas into relevant and viable business initiatives for a more sustainable future. \nThe Summer School comprises an exciting programme with a focus on: \n\nCircular Economy: Challenges and Opportunities\nIdeation: Think about-of-the-box\, think circular\nValue creation\nCircular business models\nTechnology transfer\nIndustry validation\nHow to prepare a powerful pitch presentation of a business idea\nand more!\n\nThe programme aims to train PhD students on how to apply the concepts of the circular economy to the technology sector\, such as integrating a circular design concept in the development of novel products and processes. \nPhD students will work in multidisciplinary teams solving real industrial challenges developed by scientific and industry experts. The results of the case studies will be presented to a jury on the last day in the form of a business pitch. \ndoc-ECE Summer School is organised by six partners of EIT RawMaterials: KU Leuven\, Liege University\, RWTH Aachen University\, RISE Research Institute of Sweden\, Universite de Lorraine and Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute\, Polish Academy of Sciences.

DESCRIPTION:EIT Innovation Community is happy to invite you to the INNOVEIT Stockholm: Innovation in Higher Education\nThis joint EIT Community event\, hosted by EIT RawMaterials\, is an integral part of the INNOVEIT Weeks 2022\, which will consist of several decentralised events across Europe showcasing how Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem offers opportunities for innovators. \nThe INNOVEIT Stockholm event will highlight the ongoing work of the EIT’s HEI Initiative: Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education\, a joint EIT Community activity coordinated by EIT RawMaterials. The programme will feature presentations and panel participation from several of the projects selected for the Pilot Cohort of the HEI Initiative\, which launched in July 2021. \nThis event is in support of the European Commission-funded European Innovation and Technology (EIT)\, which is Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem offering opportunities for innovators at every step of their journey. In the past 10 years\, EIT has built Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem connecting thousands of partners. \nFurthermore\, the event will open the conversation wider by inviting key players and thought leaders from across the knowledge triangle (industry\, research and higher education) to share their insights into where and how innovation\, entrepreneurship and higher education do and should intersect to move closer towards a unified vision for the future of innovation in higher education. \nThe joint EIT Community event will also offer a platform for the CEOs of start-ups to amplify and hone their messaging and potentially launch new activities and collaborations. \nThe INNOVEIT Stockholm: Innovation in Higher Education event will focus on the following themes: \n\nbest practices and methodologies from the EIT’s HEI Initiative for increasing the innovation capacity of HEIs;\nbuilding effective\, sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship courses for the 21st century;\nfostering Deep Tech talents at universities.\n\nJoin us in Stockholm to learn how to unlock the potential of your university to develop world-class education for future entrepreneurs\, by applying for the EIT HEI Initiative funding.
