SUMMARY:Course: Powder and Hard Materials
DESCRIPTION:The Powder and Hard Materials module\, organised by PM Life project\, looks at the raw materials used in Powder Metallurgy such as Hardmetals\, Cemented Carbides\, and polycrystalline materials such as CBN\, Ceramic and Diamond Tools. \nThere are many ways in which metals may be produced in powder forms such as Solid State Reduction\, Electrolysis or Atomization\, Gas atomization\, Mechanical Comminution and Chemical Processes. \nThe further processing and the final results achieved in the sintered part are influenced by the characteristics of the powder: particle size\, size distribution\, particle shape\, structure and surface condition so it is important to understand the factors when using designing with Powder Metallurgy. \nFor more information on Powder Manufacture\, EPMA has a short introduction here. Further information regarding hard materials can be found here. \nRegistration Deadline: 3 April 2019 \nSee the course programme and register here! \n\nAbout PM Life\n\n\nPM Life is a training programme supported by EIT RawMaterials to help develop the future of Powder Metallurgy and help provide a comprehensive training course to help you take the next step in your career. You can choose to attend the full programme or select specific modules if you would like to know more information about a specific topic.

SUMMARY:ERAMET OPEN INNOVATION CHALLENGE 2019
DESCRIPTION:Innovate and contribute to the success of one of the next Eramet key projects!\nEramet launches its first open innovation challenge in hydrometallurgy. Apply by 5 June 2019 here!\nIf you want to collaborate with a large industrial group and contribute to the success of one of its main projects\, this challenge is for you! \n \n\n\nFor privacy reasons Vimeo needs your permission to be loaded.\nI Accept\n\n\nBrief\nEramet is developing a project to produce lithium from its deposit located in the North West of Argentina\, 3\,800 meters above sea level. In this project\, silica management is essential to well operate the hydrometallurgical process to extract lithium contained in the brine. The Eramet open innovation challenge aims at finding a solution to silica management in the process to improve its profitability. Submit your proposal and collaborate with Eramet to solve this challenge!\nFind more information about the Eramet lithium project on the website: http://www.eramet.com/en/lithium
