SUMMARY:EIT RawMaterials Proposers Day - Berlin
DESCRIPTION:EIT RawMaterials partners are encouraged to take advantage of Proposers Days\, which are networking and consultancy meetings held across the EIT RawMaterials community (not Innovation Hub (CLC) specific)\, with a primary focus on facilitating the development of project ideas across the community into strong proposals. \nThe fourth Proposers Day will be held on 24 January at EIT RawMaterials HQ in Berlin\, Germany.\n\nThe Proposers Days should allow partners to meet and network with a larger number of partners across the community\, and also discuss their initial or matured project ideas with teams of EIT RawMaterials staff. The staff teams are composed of Senior Advisors\, Business Development Managers\, Education Managers and Innovation Hub Directors – and are composed of EIT RawMaterials staff from across – Innovation Hubs (CLCs) – in order to facilitate other views and opportunities for project ideas. Proposers Days also aim at facilitating interaction between partners from different Innovation Hubs (CLCs) and should serve to identify partnerships across Europe on project ideas. They can even provide the possibility/facilities for holding the first meeting (which is mandatory for KAVA proposals) amongst partners from different Innovation Hubs (CLCs) that are working on developing project ideas into proper strong proposals. \nThe Proposers Days are arranged as yearly cross-community events and will take place at various geographical travel-hubs and locations in Europe. SUMMARY:Remanufacturing workshop with RemanPath project
DESCRIPTION:On 24 January 2019\, the Wuppertal Institute is organizing a workshop on remanufacturing as part of the EIT RawMaterials supported project “RemanPath – Building Lifelong Education Through Finding Company Path to Remanufacturing“. \nRemanufacturing is a promising approach to the circular economy\, offering benefits not only to the environment but also to manufacturers and customers. The reprocessing of products and product components opens up tremendous – often untapped – potential for manufacturing companies in the automotive\, electronics\, furniture and many other industries. \nBut what makes remanufacturing and what advantages does it offer? What can a business model look like? What are the requirements of the product design and what should be considered before the introduction in your own company? These questions are the focus of the workshop\, which is aimed particularly at small and medium-sized enterprises. \nThe Head of the Department of Circular Economy Henning Wilts and the Scientific Staff Carina Koop\, Susanne Fischer and Anne Müller from the Wuppertal Institute are organizing the workshop. In addition to lectures on circular economy and remanufacturing\, there will also be a practice report from a remanufacturer and an interactive part. \nThe workshop will take place on Thursday\, 24 January 2019 from 14:00 to 17:30 at the Wuppertal Institute\, Döppersberg 19 in Wuppertal.
