We aim to bring scientists\, researchers\, experts\, manufactures\, users and recyclers together from the different fields under the same roof to share their knowledge\, their expectations\, technical and economical limitations of their work\, and their dreams to take the initiative for a circular economy of batteries. \nScientific and Technology Conference on Circular Economy of Batteries: Production and Recycling (CEB2018) conference topics:\n\nRaw materials. Raw material supply is the first and the critical step to create a sustainable battery technology. Researchers and battery producers require different kind of metals\, metal oxides\, other inorganic substance and organic materials for the manufacturing.\nRecycling. The need of the sustainable development has been a substantial motivation to recover valuable materials from spent batteries. The efforts are made to increase the material recovery rate by the development of efficient recycling technologies.\nElectrolytes. Since the first lithium-ion batteries (LiB)\, many efforts have been made on the development of new electrodes with high capacity\, high energy density and good cycling ability at the expense of the search of new electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries.\nElectrode materials. The quest for new electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LiB) with high energy density and low cost has seen major advances in intercalation compounds like carbonaceous electrodes or alloying materials for negative electrodes and layered metal oxides\, spinels\, polyanion materials\, and composite oxides for positive electrodes.\nDesign development. Lithium-ion batteries can be optimized by playing on the chemistry (electrode materials\, electrolyte\, separator) or by modifying the battery design whatever the technology (Lithium-ion battery\, metal-air batteries\, Li-S or all solid-state batteries\, etc.).\nApplications. There are many types of battery technologies depending on their applications. These batteries can be used for portable applications\, electric mobility\, stationary applications or smart grids.\nCollection & Regulations. Battery waste is a growing problem all around the world. DESCRIPTION:Online course on Business Model Innovation from a researcher’s perspective\nDo you want to increase the business impact and knowledge transfer results of your research? In this online course\, you will learn to develop innovative and viable proposals for value generation from a business model perspective. You will understand and learn approaches and methodologies for developing research activities from a business perspective as well as the trade-offs to make and the design issues that are critical for a viable and sustainable research from a business perspective. The online course starts on Monday\, 24 September 2018. \nThis course will help you explore techniques and tools through a defined process to develop research and transfer activities from a business model innovation perspective\, and gain skills to align researchers and stakeholders needs\, approaches and outcomes for maximum impact on society. The content includes concepts in business model innovation from a research perspective as well as a timeline\, and methodologies for researching from a business perspective. The course structure is based on four sequential modules that will run from Monday to next week’s Monday\, for a total learning period of four weeks. Course material includes videos\, presentations\, activities and self-assessments for each one of the learning modules. The estimated effort the course requires is 2 hours per week\, what makes a total effort of 8 hours.
