DESCRIPTION:TOP STARS 2017 – innovaTion challenge fOr PhD STudents And ReSearchers\, has an emphasis on ways of applying the currently available techniques in improving the everyday life & business activities. Topics of challenges proposed by companies are introduced through presentations\, tutorials and workshops on approaches focused on techniques to assess and promote feasible solutions on both technical and business aspect. Enhancing entrepreneurial skills and specific business capacities from idea to a clear business proposition remains the key objective of the winter school. \nThe winter school offers PhD students and young researchers a unique hands-in opportunity to address a societal challenge in the Raw Materials framework by combining the technical expertise with innovation and entrepreneurship experience. For about two weeks\, students will work in teams to identify a technical solution and develop it into a business proposal. The winter school will introduce students to entrepreneurial thinking and behaviour\, business and innovation processes\, high-tech ventures marketing\, and business model generation techniques. This experience will help to foster a community of students among various universities and to create an interaction with companies and start-ups operating in the specific field. \nRegistration\nRegistration deadline is 4 October 2017. \nPlease register here.

DESCRIPTION:Conference at the RWTH Aachen addresses opportunities and risks of „Industry 4.0“ for the raw materials sector. \nAfter successful 2015 premiere with over 120 participants from the raw materials sector\, the 2nd Forum Bergbau 4.0 will be held on 14-15 November 2017 at Tivoli in Aachen\, Germany. \nDr Karen Hanghøj\, CEO at EIT RawMaterials\, and Dr Tony Hand\, Thematic Officer (Mining) at EIT RawMaterials\, as well as other colleagues\, will attend the event. \nIndustry 4.0 – under this heading\, the Federal Government develops in cooperation with research institutes\, trade unions and trade associations a new high-tech strategy\, which combines industrial production processes with state-of-art information and communication technology. SUMMARY:6th ESEE Dialogue Conference in Skopje\, Macedonia
DESCRIPTION:As EIT RawMaterials CLC East covers significant parts of the EIT RIS eligible countries\, it conducts through the existing EIT RawMaterials Regional Innovation Centers (RICs) respective regional events in order to achieve both the KIC’s overall and the EIT RIS objectives. Thus\, in order to start establishing local ecosystems and integrating the partners from not yet systematically approached countries in the East and South-East European Region (ESEE) in KAVA proposals\, ESEE Dialogue Conferences will take place\, intend to initially approach strategically interesting countries in the ESEE region that are not yet covered by existing partners. \nThis Dialogue Conference will: \n\nprovide first access to activities and services of the KIC to those in these countries that might not otherwise have this access\,\nraise awareness of these countries towards EIT RawMaterials\,\nopen option for the CLC East to close strategic gaps\,\ninitiate impact on these countries itself by offering joint options on innovation and entrepreneurship.\n\nRegistration\n\n\n\n\nPlease register by sending an e-mail to Lisa Ditz. \n\n\n\n\nFor more information\, please click on the image below.
