Self-sealing foam

At high temperature systems like glass melting tanks open joints are sealed in order to prevent heat and exhaust gases to emerge from inside. Conventional solutions for sealing corrode and the plant operators need to renew them regularly under hard working conditions. In recent years a material made of foam-glass was developed which seals joints safely and durably with less effort.
